ROBIN TROWER / MAXI PRIEST / LIVINGSTONE BROWN - UNITED STATE OF MIND / SARI SCHORR

Sun 27 October 2019 7:00PM – 11:00PM

Robin Trower, is hailed as one of the finest guitarists in rock history, his career has spanned more than four decades. His mastery of the guitar is not so much technical as emotional. His solos are not pyrotechnic displays of speed and precision, rather he uses his guitar to draw out the hidden emotions that lie closest to the heart.

Maxi Priest has earned his place among other greats such as Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Toots & The Maytals and Dennis Brown in spreading the Reggae gospel far and wide. Despite the pressures of stardom, he’s remained true to his core UK audience from the beginning.”

Here we have two of the UK's music legends. After a chance meeting in the studios of Livingstone Brown in Godalming UK Surrey, this unlikely duo hit it off. The early musical influences for both of them were directly from soul & gospel music. Robin and Maxi went even further, striking up a very productive joint songwriting partnership, that quickly developed over a dozen new songs. Each song showcased Maxi's silky soulful vocal tone, and of course Trower's distinctive deft and precise guitar fretwork.

With bass-playing producer Livingstone Brown at the helm, this creative coalition went into the studios and the album "United State Of Mind" was born.

2019 will see the release of this album, and select live shows are planned for Autumn 2019.

Plus special guest Sari Schorr:
A jaw-dropping voice and a live show that erupts like a volcano have catapulted Sari Schorr into the spotlight as one of the hottest new blues-rock singers today. The native New Yorker is taking the blues world by storm, and with a voice that jolted legendary blues producer Mike Vernon (think Fleetwood Mac, Clapton, and Bowie) out of retirement, it’s not hard to see why. It’s no wonder that Blues Matters said, “The future of blues is in good hands. Sari is a gift to all of us from the Blues Gods.”

Please note, this event is 14+ (under 16s must be accompanied by someone who's 18 or over).
